I first encountered TIRTIR at the 2024 Spring/Summer LOFT K Cosme Festival 2024 in May 2024.
My mission was to catalog 5 k-beauty products for a client, and ranking in at #2 was TIRTIR Mask Fit UV Cool Powder. It’s a translucent pressed powder that cuts shine, offers SPF 40 PA+++. What’s more, it gives a pleasant cooling sensation upon application. I thought it was an innovative product perfect for dealing with summer in Japan.
Although the mint scented powder was very refreshing, the product itself was far too white for my skin, and I began my search for more TIRTIR products! Luckily, I didn’t have to go far, as I was gifted the Mask Fit Concealer Palette.

Mask Fit Concealer Palette
My summer makeup routine basically consists of tinted sunscreen mixed with a few drops of liquid foundation. But, the Mask Fit Concealer Palette turned out to be a welcome addition to my makeup arsenal.
It’s more like a color correction trio –beige, pinkish red, and mint green– that balances out skin discolorations by neutralizing undertones. (Concealers, on the other hand, well, conceal.) The compact has a large mirror, and a sponge tip/flat brush dual applicator. I find it useful for tackling under eye discoloration, concealing redness, and for highlighting my features.
Mask Fit Creamy Balm Primer
I’m also a fan of TIRTIR Mask Fit Creamy Balm Primer, which gives the skin a fantastic setting board, regardless if you’re going for full glam or a casual look. Before TIRTIR went viral for its Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation, it made waves in Japan with its Mask Fit Creamy Balm Primer.
This product creates a smooth finish, ensuring seamless and long-lasting foundation application, even with mask-wearing. According to the brand, it can extend the wear of your makeup for up to 72 hours!
Waterism Glow Balm and Tint

I later attended the TIRTIR Waterism Glow pop-up event in Harajuku, where I got to experience their Waterism Glow line.
The Waterism Glow Tint in Mauve Rose became an instant favorite. Its vibrant color and smooth application made it a staple in my makeup routine, though these days I’m more partial to Cassis Plum.

The tint fits perfectly on the lips without any stickiness, providing a comfortable and long-lasting wear.
Alongside this, the Waterism Glow Melting Balm also impressed me with its nourishing and hydrating properties, perfect for keeping my lips soft and supple.
TIRTIR’s Commitment to Inclusivity
One of the most remarkable aspects of TIRTIR is their dedication to catering to a global audience. Traditionally, K-Beauty doesn’t exactly scream “inclusivity,” especially when it comes to catering to diverse skin tones. However, TIRTIR shattered that mold when they released 27 new shades to its Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation line up.

This foundation now comes in an impressive 30 shades, making it the first Korean beauty brand to offer such a wide range of shades. This is a significant step towards inclusivity in the beauty industry, and it’s exciting to see a K-Beauty brand leading the way.
At the pop-up event last month I was able to match my shade perfectly to 35N. For what it’s worth, I have seen reviews that the cushion foundation oxidizes. But, I did not encounter that issue.
Japan Residents – all 30 shades of Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation are officially available in Japan as of August 1! The delay is largely due to strict rules and regulations enforced by the domestic cosmetic industry. As a matter of fact, if you ever wondered why Japan is always behind when it comes to getting “viral” skincare or makeup products, well…now you know!
