𝙳𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚄𝚙 __________ (English 𝙳𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚄𝚙 __________ (English Below — #japanlife post!) 先日、私立小学校の説明会に行ってみました👩‍👧服装を悩んだ結果これです🥵 We’ve been preparing for the April 2023 school year by attending several Open House/information seminars for private elementary schools. There’s an unofficial official dress code for moms, starting with a navy or black ensemble paired with sensible shoes, a handbag + solid color “second bag,” all accented with minimal jewelry & makeup. Girls should wear their school uniform OR a navy/blue dress; white blouse + black/navy bottoms; and have their hair in pigtails or a ponytail! We’re only looking at one private elementary school, and have one more information session in September. That session (our 4th) will cover everything about the October entrance exams & interview session. In my case, I’ll be keeping my hair natural until the ordeal is over (though I might color it a darker shade).
