𝙳𝚎𝚊𝚛 𝚂𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚊 (𝙼𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚑𝚘𝚘𝚍 𝚒𝚗 𝙹𝚊𝚙𝚊𝚗 𝙿𝚘𝚜𝚝!) __________ Did you have a wonderful Christmas? Lucky Miss M got everything she wanted for Christmas (purple shoes, a fox family, and plenty of dinosaurs). ⁣ But, to me, this is more than a letter to Santa. ⁣ This list represents all the changes and freedom I’ve encountered since losing my job. ⁣ (When I say “lose” I actually mean, my sexual harassment claim was dismissed & I was given a zero hour contract — nice way to jumpstart pandemic life, amirite?) ⁣ I was angry, hurt, and embarrassed. But, managed to transition from teaching kindy to a new career as a brand consultant/social media manager. (Also, I got profiled in an interview with @BBC100women, too!) ⁣ My schedule varies daily, but nearly every weekday morning starts with a homeschool lesson. ⁣ I was definitely intimidated with Japanese lessons as I’m not a native speaker. But, seeing my daughter try every day encourages me to try harder, too.
