Tokyo Bay Night Cruise With Tokai Kisen

Last Saturday, Miss M and I had an amazing time being tourists for a day in Yokohama.

We haven’t visited since the pandemic hit and with restrictions loosening, it was time to make our long-overdue trip.

We rode the new Yokohama Air Cabin….

Just my luck the ride stopped as soon as we got to the top!

…We stopped by the Demon Slayer Festival at World Porters…

We even attended our first rugby game!

After all that walking, we decided to take a very scenic way back home via a Tokyo Bay night cruise with Tokai Kisen!

Operating since 1889, Tokai Kisen operates freight and passenger transportation between Japan’s main island and the Izu Islands south of Tokyo.

In the pre-COVID times, we previously booked a day trip to Izu Oshima with Tokai Kisen. (Read all about our hydrangea hike in Izu Oshima here.

This is our second time booking a cruise with Tokai Kisen, and this time, we boarded its aptly-titled “Tokyo Bay Night Scenery Cruise” (東京湾夜景クルーズ // toukyou wan yakei kuru-zu).

It’s a one-way leisure cruise that connects the cities of Yokohama and Tokyo via Tokyo Bay.
